Half-a-dozen club members (Sue Anslow, Bea von der Haar, Tracy Onions, Stephen Lander, Nigel Goode and Kevin Doyle) made the trip to WWT Slimbridge on November 13th, managing to get ahead of storm Claudia and enjoy some pleasant conditions.
The reserve itself was quiet with the standard species we would expect to see at this time of year across the reserve. Unfortunately the Glossy Ibises seen in October were no longer in residence. Whilst this was a disappointment our group enjoyed an excellent day out. The company is always great and it’s always a pleasure to be out and about. We left mid-afternoon for the journey back, tired but well satisfied and pleased to have made the trip.
