Or first fotoforay of the new year (16/01/26) was a walk from the 14 Locks car park at High Cross, Newport to the Allt-yr-yn nature reserve.
A bright, misty morning greeted our club members (Nigel Goode, Sue Anslow, Bea von der Haar, Tracy Onions, Graham Porritt, Peter Young, Jill Young, Kevin Morgan, Stephen Tippins and Kevin Doyle) for a walk that, at times, proved to be a tad muddy. Despite the conditions it was a pleasure to be out and about with the camera.
Our members indulge in a variety of photographic styles/genres and this walk offered the opportunity to capture images ranging from wildlife through landscape to the unusual. Our return route from the nature reserve took us back along the canal beside the M4 and back up the 14 locks incline to the welcoming cafe at the car park.
It was great to meet up with everybody once more as our fotoforays are always great company with a group of like minded individuals.
